“A person who says that it can never be done shouldn’t interrupt the person who is actually doing it.”
Sensei Carlos J. Brooks
Sensei Carlos Brooks started training in the Martial Arts at the age of eleven, by studying Tae Kwon Do for 8 years. He was forced to stop training for some time due to an injury. Upon his return to the Martial Arts, he went to the Manhattan TSMMA school because he was always interested in learning a hybrid style and wanted to lose weight with a fun work out method.
His appreciation for the Tiger Schulmann’s martial arts style soon led to competing and followed with a teaching position at the TSMMA school in Manhattan, where he currently teaches and trains. He is also teaching and training at the TSMMA Headquarters and Training Facility in Elmwood Park, NJ.
Sensei Brooks has competed in the New York Golden Gloves, with a record of 2 wins, 2 losses. Presently he is member of the WCL New Jersey Tigers. He looks forward to continue to grow as an instructor and martial artist with the TSMMA organization.
